Meet Sam

Hi, I’m Sam Masur — founder of Masur Performance Training (MPT).

I’m a holistic nutritionist, certified personal trainer, and currently in my third year of physical therapy school. I grew up in Montclair, NJ and began playing soccer at a young age, which eventually led me to compete at the Division I level for St. John’s University from 2015 to 2019. After graduation, I stayed on as the Assistant Women’s Soccer Coach, where I had the privilege of mentoring and developing collegiate athletes both on and off the field.

My passion for athletic performance extends beyond the pitch. While coaching, I pursued a certification as a Certified Nutritional Practitioner (CNP) through the Institute of Holistic Nutrition (IHN) to deepen my understanding of how food, recovery, and lifestyle factors impact performance. At the same time, I became a NASM Certified Personal Trainer to better support athletes with strength and conditioning.

Currently, I’m earning my Doctorate in Physical Therapy while continuing to coach part-time at St. John’s. My mission is to help athletes reach their full potential using a holistic, individualized approach that combines technical soccer training, fitness and conditioning, nutrition guidance, and leadership development.

At Masur Performance Training, I bring my experience as a player, coach, and clinician-in-training to every session—whether it's working 1-on-1 with an athlete refining their technical skills, leading small group strength and endurance workouts, or building a customized nutrition and recovery plan for optimal performance and long-term health.

Let’s build stronger, smarter, and more confident athletes on and off the field.
